Cruise Iceland recently participated in the International Cruise Summit in Madrid along with 300 delegates from around the world. Amongst speakers were Edie Rodriguez, Americas Brand Chairman and Corporate Special Advisor of the luxury company Ponant, as well as Lars Clasen, Managing Director of The RitzCarlton Yacht Collection.

Emma Kjartansdottir, Manager of shore excursions & cruise at Iceland Travel was Cruise Iceland´s representative at a panel discussion about destination management and sustainability. She spoke about Iceland’s vast increase in visitors over the past few years, the countries destination management progress, the governments Tourism Task Force as well as Cruise Iceland’s initiatives in further developing cruise tourism and port infrastructure.
